The Queen's Gambit - New Musical

Pinkhouse Productions, led by Founder Producer Lawryn LaCroix, is a primary producer for the new musical - The Queen's Gambit ("TQG"). TQG tells the story of Beth Harmon, a scrappy orphan turned once-in-a-generation chess prodigy. Currently in development, the musical adaptation of Walter Tevis' best selling novel, The Queen's Gambit, will showcase an exceptional creative team - Pulitzer Prize winning playwright Eboni Booth (Primary Trust) will write the book, Oscar nominated internationally acclaimed singer-songwriter Mitski will write the music & lyrics, and Tony Award nominated Whitney White (Jaja's African Hair Braiding) will direct.

In 2020, the novel was adapted for the screen and viewed by 62 million households in its first 28 days on Netflix, making it the streamer's biggest scripted limited series release. The series won Emmy and Golden Globe awards, among others, and continues to be a buzz title through word of mouth in all forms.
